I've never hunted turkey before, but I feel like I'm a decently quick learner. It took getting out and scouting with a camera for me to feel confident, though. The pics with just two are the ones I'm proudest of. I called them in from about 130 yards. Having hunted deer only, it felt really strange to finally break the hunting silence and call. I'd practiced those calls on the slate, box, mouth piece, "Thunder" calls, etc., but it was all like taking a Spanish class until I got out there: good in theory, but untested. Ha! When they came running, I felt like Mike Pentecost! Ha! I was so pumped I almost yelled when I saw that one of them had two beards. You can see both beards most clearly in the fourth pic from the top (the one on the left). He's on the right in the third pic, but they're clearest in the fourth one. I've learned a lot on this forum, y'all. Thank you!
