Savage Axis II or Model 110?

I have no experience with the axis, but do with the model 110. Easy to make into great shooting rifles and are pretty darned accurate out of the box.
Between the 2, 110 all the way
110 absolutely
110. I'm not going to dog anyone's axis II, but I will likely never own one. Lots of aftermarket parts available for them though

I have or have had both. The 110 is the better way to go. That said, both will get the job done...and are accurate. I just can't get passed the squishy, springy feeling of the bolt on the axis.

I own both and the 110 is much better fit and finish. However I will say that accuracy between the 2 is totally equal. So if you're on a budget, tough to beat savage for accuracy. Thing that really annoys me on the axis is you get a 308 so short action right? wrong, it's still long and they block it to save $. But still hard to be upset with that daggum amazing out of the box accuracy.
110 hands down.

Depends upon your wallet.
The two Axis I own are unreal accurate and my cash outlay is less than the Vortex glass on them.
As for bolt issues....hmmmm.......Whatever you do, do not pick up a Browning X-Bolt. Smoother than a baby';s bottom. Compared to the 110 price is close.

X-Bolt bolt is insanely smooth, and they are very accurate as well

I understand the Savage Accutrigger is pretty good.
This is one of those things you must try for yourself.
Long time ago I took 4 rifles to a local gunsmith and had him adjust all the triggers to match in every way possible.
There were 3 Browning A-bolts and a Remington 700 ADL.
Hit your local gunstore and try each out for yourself.

The older A-bolts was the best trigger browning ever put in a rifle, simple design easy to work on, as was the the older Rems.

I had an original A-bolt...the trigger sucked worse than any rifle I've ever owned!!!! That is only an example of one, but it completely turned me off of Browning.

Going to throw this out there as well. I bought one of the SS axis II that WM put on clearance a couple years ago. Pissed me plum off!! The cheapest gun I had, and it out shot my Christensen Mesa...and it wasn't even close!!
I should of said with work done on the trigger of the A-bolt, there easy to work on and can be made into a very good trigger.
