I made my second annual sandhill crane hunt Saturday, this time with guides with 'Always Somethin' Outdoors.' Here's the link to the story, including a REALLY cool video: http://bit.ly/ASOSandhillHunt

Some folks may remember that back in 2012 when the sandhill hunting idea debate was raging, I was not a huge supporter. Nowadays I am VERY happy to eat my words, literally. :D

Stupid question do you eat them

Yes they are delicious

Yes they are!!! They call them "Ribeye in the Sky." Ribeye might be a stretch, but they really do taste more like steak than anything else. Excellent! :super:

I'd like to have one, along with a Great Blue Heron, for my "Reelfoot Room" :tu:

Simms, you sound like my Grandfather describing the taste of the Common Coot
Although he said the Coot taste much more like pork.
