I cooked one of my crane breasts today
My grill was at about 300 degrees
I would suggest 350
I did them for 6 minutes per side
Pretty rare but absolutely delicious!

I used the same seasoning I use for steak.
For some reason it was extremely salty??
The next time I will just use pepper and a dash of garlic powder.

Did you calculate the cost of each breast?
Uhhh no.

If the limit doesn't increase next year I won't be hunting them again either.
Wayyyy too expensive for two birds.
Granted decoys & blind are expensive as well.
Biggest issue is the guides in this area have all the land locked up so little to no property to hunt them.

Not knocking the guides at all, they have alot of time and money tied up and I understand needing to increase the cost but just like everything in life, there are choices and I will choose not to go after them again.

Just for kicks....
Breast, 2 sides per bird, 4 sides total: $125
Drumstick & thigh, 2 per bird, 4 total: $125

:D
