Recently inherited this rifle it's killed tons of deer but he never was good at maintenance guns was simply a tool for hunting in his mind. I was planning on tearing it down cleaning it really good abs maybe change out the trigger and make it my go to hunting rifle because I know that's what he would want. But since i hurt my shoulder and had surgery on it I'm not sure when I'll be able to manage recoil enough or even tear it apart… is there anyone on the east side of the state or nearby that are good would be trustworthy to do it? It's a 1967 model 70 30-06 a Good thorough cleaning , trigger swap and whatever else may need done to it

Great gun! Deer killer for sure. The first upgrade I'd make is those see through scope mounts. Get some good, steel bases and rings and it will keep zero much better.
