Mine may have been the best shooting factory rifle I ever had. It was the first year production and chambered in 270 Winchester. Many others on the net have the same to say, and has been narrowed down to why this is the case. The Trynite coating needs a heating process to bond it to the metal, some say this was a second heating to stress relieve the barrel. I know mine shot great.
