Remington 710

Some say they shoot good. I would deside on one as to how much
it would be used. Personaly I do not like or want one. I think
they are cheap made. My advise is to save a little more and
get a better gun.

Just my opinion.

yup, agree with above. You can still get new 700 ADL's with synthetic stocks out there for $300- $325.

The 710 was another one of Remington's screw-up's they've managed to make in the past few years.

Look on 24HR classifieds. There is a 270 ADL listed, the guy lives around east TN and will ship for $325.00

Well, here it is....

The local Walmarts that still sell guns have their ADL composites with a clean barrel for $325. I previously owned a walnut ADL, and later a composite ADL, and the earlier walnut version was far slicker. The composite's action was kinda "raspy" if you know what I mean. This can be improved upon somewhat by honing, and/or polishing. Also, the stock was hollow and very loud to the touch(thump). I solved that by filling the hollow space with compacted cardboard. IMO still a better built rifle and therefore a better buy than the 710, as are even the bottom of the line Savage/Stevens rifles. I like those for the money.

I hate to see remington put out a cheap gun ,go for a used remington or a howa i have both, howa is a good shooter as is the remington .

It's not just because I'm not a big Remington fan,but find her something else she can be proud of. Theres alot of really good guns out there for the same price. I find used ADLs for really good prices.

I've always been a browning man,
Until i bought this rem. model 7.
I still like my brownings but i believe
this little rem. will shoot a tad bit better.

Model 7, 7mm-08.

Deal gets better and better. Was in there Monday(Walmart), and they(ADL's) are now $300. I know that Gander is pricy(previous posts) but they have a house full of 710's for $319. IMO, there isn't any comparison between the bottom of the line 700 and the 710. Cheaper and better.
