You can a Origin SA rem 700 clone from Bugholes for $900 if that will work into your budget. They are a whole lot nicer than the rem and won't need to be blueprinted.

Yeah, I've looked at a lot of the custom options. They're all way above my budget, unfortunately.

Im pretty sure its older then 2007. Its a great shooting gun even with the cheap scope on it. I bought it that way for my wife at the time and its always been dead on every year she used it. Let me know if your interested in seing it, I could meet you in Kimball.

I agree. Probably better than spending $450 on a Rem and then truing it. You would still be lacking an upgraded extractor, side bolt release, non-soldered bolt strap, etc...
