Refinishing bottom metal and trigger guard

Has anyone tried refinishing bottom metal and trigger guard? I have a Browning A-Bolt 22Lr and the wood and barrel are in good shape but the bottom metal and trigger guard has some paint flakes chipped out of it. It looks easy to remove but I have never tried refinishing anything like that. What would need to be done to prep it for new paint and what kind of paint would be best for it?

Sand blast the old finish off. Then Cerakote in the color you like best. Kampfeld Customs does good Cerakote work, they have done a couple for me.

Here is one that I had Kampfeld Customs Cerakote for me. The color on this one is Titanium.
