Reductio absurdum of trophy management

There is an interesting article in the current issue of NAW about a guy who shot two trophy bucks last season at his club in the MS Delta. Both netted over 160 typical. The larger one was on the "do not shoot" list for the neighboring club because they identified it as an up and coming 3 year old. In reality it grossed over 190", netted just under 170" and was aged by a biologist as 8+ years old.

Some clubs must be worse than HOAs.

I think you can over manage a property. I also think that most folks are not as good at aging bucks as they think they are especially once they get over 4 years old...I cant imagine a club that is letting a 190" typical walk.lol
