Due to the wind this year I haven't gone to this spot yet so today was the first day. It's normally my go to rut area and it's far enough back on the property I hunt it generally gets no traffic or pressure.

Anyway I first saw him at 7:30am chasing a doe. The doe was on my side of the property but he was 5yds in the other side of the fence. Just couldn't make myself shoot the other side and just hoped he would hope over and I would have laid the hammer at 75yds. Unfortunately he stayed in that side and ended up just walking off

1 hour later I have 3 does running in from behind me and cut right in front of me at 50yds and wouldn't you know that same buck in tow. Shot him at 30yds and he ran about 20 and fell over.

Just couldn't pass up the mass and very unique right side. Very old mature buck and almost killed me getting it out and in my truck solo
