Got a 209 conversion kit as a gift last year just after the season closed.
It is for the Ruger M77/50.
Instructions were in French so they were basically useless.
Spoon got the same kit about a week after I did and he put his in and well, lets just say it wasn't easy.
I must have gotten a good one cause it took like 4 minutes and I was done. :)
Gonna be a BAD day for the little deers this year now. :D
I absolutely LOVE my muzzleloader and it is quite a bit more accurate than the Encore that I had. I just hated messing with those pesky number 11 caps.
It is a great day indeed. :D

I love muzzleloader season too! The rut startin to kick in. Ya can see a little farther in the woods.Man I can't wait! I wish y'all GOOD LUCK! Kevin

I switched to 209 caps this season myself. My muzzleloader just required me to switch out the musket cap attachment for the 209 attachment. It took 1 minute.

I love it.

I am soooooooo excited!

I just bought a NEF Heritage from Cabelas...waiting for it to get here. I have a NEF Huntsman but the previous owner did not care for it the way I care for my guns. It shoots great, it has holes all tapped in it for mounts and they are gaouged and set screws missing...I just wanted the new one! So, I bought it...It is stainless with synthetic stock in Mossy Oak. Also, the new one is a magnum and the huntsman is not.

I hope I like it as much as I think I will!!!

Ruger, do you realize that you mentioned "little deers"? You don;t have to shoot little deer all the time you know. What are you going to shoot at when they loose their spots?

Ruger you had an encore that shot #11 caps.

Naw, I sold my encore last year and had to switch back to my Ruger. I love the 777 pellets, but it says right there on the box not to use them with number 11 caps.
Of course I didn't read that part. ;)

I just never really was tickled with the accuracy of my encore with the muzzleloader barrel and got tired of experimenting.
I can throw two fifty grain pellets in my Ruger and drop a shockwave in there and single hole it all day long out to about 60 yards. At 100 yards I can hold 2 inch groups pretty easy with "field rests" so I like it.
Encore never got below 4" groups at fifty yards.
