I'll echo the recommendation to purchase a nice cot...much better that sleeping on the ground....air mattress is nice till they leak....also it's easier to get dressed and put boots on with a cot to sit on....and for cold weather the buddy heater is nice.... we'll run it 15 minutes before going in tent to go to sleep....once in bag turn it off.....then next morning alarm set early to turn heater on while I remain in bag....once tent warms up hop out of bag and get dressed.....very cozy while heater is running.....oh....if you drink coffee....fix pot with fresh water and grounds night before....then next morning it's just light stove and heat coffee....your not fumbling around in dark trying to fix coffee.....love fall camping.

If you are able to you ,may want to consider "practice" camping in your yard. Go ahead and set your camp up and if things get uncomfortable or you simply do not like it you can always go inside. This will also give you a good idea of the supplies and other things you may have needed.
