Question about ATV brakes

I have a new ATV and the front brakes squeek constantly. Someone told me the brakes need to break in. Is this true, or should I talk to the dealer?

If they are disk brakes clean the rotors with brake cleaner , especially if they are new because they will have that cosmoline chemical from the factory on them .

Some brakes have a break area on the pad. Normally after 3-5 days of hitting the brakes it normally goes away.
Like bowhunter said I would clean them really good. If they still squeek after a day or 2 I would talk to the dealer.

If you take the brakes off and see on the pad themselves they have a red surface then they are a brake in pad. Once the color goes away they quit squeeking.
