It's Friday and things are slow, so I thought I'd show a few of my powder horns. Nothing too special but there's a flat horn from Bill Smith of Kentucky. The two without straps are from a couple of the Honorable Company of Horners, Billy Griner and Ron Hess, both from Georgia. A couple of horns from unknown builders. The nice darker plain one is an antique circa 1850. The smaller one is a priming horn for a flintlock worn from a strap around my neck.

Good looking horns.....I especially like the southern banded horn on top. Nice flintlock you have there, too.;)
Thanks, I really like that banded horn also. That antler priming horn is kinda unique. I got them them from Reeder Smith at the Alabama show. He's a great guy and does good work.

Do you recognize the flintlock? There's an interesting story of how I came to own it. I think the guy that built it may be having sellers remorse. It's found it's forever home though………unless I trade it back to him for something else.
