I hated Oliver Stone for killing Elias. What a punch in the gut that was.
By the way, I did not know until a few years ago that Oliver Stone was awarded the Bronze Star while serving in combat in Vietnam. It is kind of ironic, because he totally regretted voluntarily joining the army and going to Vietnam.

The line about Pulaski Tn is talking about a man I know who was in Nam with the guy who wrote this movie... they talked on the phone for a couple of years back and forth while he was writing the movie...
