Im wanting to step it up a notch and challenge myself to hog huntin with my smith and wesson 686+ .357 mag 6" barrel. I want to know what a good bullet would be for huntin with it. I need something that will penetrate. A hollow point is out of the question. I shot a pig last year with a 44 mag rifle at 20 yards. Bullet didnt penetrate worth 2 cents. used a federal 245 grain hollow point. just lookin for some opinions.
I know hornady makes a ballistic tip 357 bullet. i know its just a hollow point with a guided tip but i dont know if it helps penetrate. open to suggestions
