Trying to decide on a form for my Ohio buck. First question, is there any difference in the two as far as forms? Can I get a wall pedestal done and later on, build a stand for it?

Here's the buck. I would love to see pics of any you guys have or have done for people

my last 3 mounts have been wall pedestals. a muley, white tail, and a pronghorn. Those mounts stand out against all the other regular "wall mounts" I have. Knowing where you are gonna hang them and which way you want them facing before choosing the form will help greatly. I know my taxidermist got his last two forms of mine from headquarters taxidermy supply.

I've never really paid any attention to the back of a pedestal mount. Is the back wood like on a regular mount and/or can it be covered with the cape provided you leave it long enough when skinning?

This is one I had done on a special buck. Instead of rustic, I actually used a formal pedestal. The nice thing about pedestals is you can twist them to change the look.

That's a little bitty deer you killed Fairchaser, could have used another year[emoji14]Haha, nice buck and mount!

Personally, I think everyone needs a floor pedestal is their trophy room. Of course after a few wall mounts have taken up space.
