What do ya'll think? Would planting a couple of them be beneficial or would they be ignored? I guess as a follow up will they grow in TN?

Thanks

seen some jars of peanutbutter on trees here before but i thought they were taped on  :D never heard of a peanut tree but went to pick some when i was about 6 years old & thought they had all been picked  my unckle who was 1 year older than me kilt over laughing, said ya dum&*^*% ya gotta dig em up, mike243

only if you had a peanut puller. It is basically a farm implement that pulls the peanuts out of the ground so they can be harvested.
Peanuts are lot like sweet potatoes alot of vine on top and the good stuff underneath. The deer would probably eat the vines on top though

We had some in the garden years ago but I don't remember the deer bothering them. I know in southern Va where they farm them the deer will dig them up with their hoofs and eat them.

We have a neighbor here that planted watermelons and pumpkins, deer absolutely tore them up. Said he had over 30 deer in the patch on a regular basis. Anyone planted a few vines on their place?
