The other day I purchased a couple magpull p mags. Tried them in my AR today and they wouldn't stay secured. Will just fall out between rounds. I have fired thousands of rounds using 8 different metal mags with no problems. I bought the p mags to support magpull and because everyone raves about them but these won't work in my gun. ( palmetto arms lower). Am I missing something?

My PSA handles them fine.

As does my Bushmaster, both my Colts, and my friends' Smith and Wessons and Rock Rivers. At the risk of belaboring the obvious, have you tried inserting a mag with the bolt locked open and giving it a really firm tap on the bottom to make certain it's seated before closing the bolt?

Yes I have tried inserting the mags with the bolt locked back, pulled back, closed, with round, without rounds, easy tapping it a little and down rite trying to shove it through the housing. Sometimes it will act like its going to stay but a little wiggle or a round fired and it will just fall out.

Which Pmag did you get???

Most of the ones still on the market are either M2 or M3. Some people have had problems with M2's and that's the reason they came out with M3.

If your not sure which one you got do you remember what color the package was?
