It's pretty obvious that Gohmert is pointing out that the sources of "climate change" are far outside of man's control.

I'd like to see the entire discussion between them, but he was pointing out she is an idiot. A fine point that seems to be missed by some of the viewers...

He does need to work on his delivery, though - that heels-up approach to speaking doesn't cut it.

My wife could hear the audio and could tell he was making fun of man's ability to affect climate change.
Now, if only we could stop those darned volcanos from erupting and spewing gasses into the atmosphere. Maybe we could fund a study...

Gohmert should learn more about Ocean Acidification which is caused by CO2.
In the past 200 years alone, ocean water has become 30 percent more acidic—faster than any known change in ocean chemistry in the last 50 million years.

I just did a google search almost every single source for this is involved with the or a government. The same one who just assisted in the deaths of millions in the US and abroad - and Im to buy this? More Bovine Scatology. I don't want to see government infused science - we already just found out where that takes you.

Evidently the warming and cooling didn't work out for the ChickenLittles of the Left now the oceans are gonna get us unless everyone gets rid of their fireplaces and stoves and cooks on solar power - drives electric cars - puts up windmills and sings kumbaya. While China India and just about every third world country will continue dumping contaminants in the sea and polluting the atmosphere but we'll all be under good left socialist control saving the world from us.

The earth has been warmer. It's also had higher CO2. But I really want to know who was logging PH tests 50 million years ago and found that all that volcanic ash did not effect the PH of the ocean....

More Junk science

Your President stated this:

President Biden warned military servicemembers Wednesday that top Pentagon officials consider climate change to be the "greatest threat" to America’s national security in the coming years.

"When I went over to the tank in the Pentagon when I was first was elected vice president with President Obama, the military sat us down and let us know what the greatest threats facing America were, the greatest physical threats," he said. "This is not a joke. You know what the Joint Chiefs told us the greatest physical threat facing America was? Global warming.

"There will be significant population movements, fights over land, millions of people leaving places because they’re literally sinking below the sea in Indonesia, because of the fights over what is arable land anymore," he added.

Not China
Not Russia
Not Iran
Not Radical Islam
Not 30 trillion in debt and uncontrolled spending
Not the invasion from our Southern border

GLOBAL WARMING

Shame on you Democrats for voting this trash into office. America will never recover from this.

Yup, I'm still waiting on the calibration records from all of temperature measuring equipment for the last 100 years.

I've seen how they drill core samples deep into the ice which they can analyze and date back in time.
I'm not sure exactly how they date the ocean CO2, but if laypeople don't know the science then they don't have a basis to discount it.
It's related to why coral reefs are dying along with shellfish.
It the oceans had been more acidic then the organisms wouldn't have been able to thrive until their present state of decline.

Greenhouse gases were first published about in 1896.

In 1896 the Swedish scientist Svante Arrhenius published a new idea. As humanity burned fossil fuels such as coal, which added carbon dioxide gas to the Earth's atmosphere, we would raise the planet's average temperature.

Laypeople can understand that CO2 is a very low level green house gas.

Well, they understand it if they were told the "Science". What they get in in place is propaganda. "Close enough to government work", I guess

Co-worker was complaining Monday that where he lives in NJ, it was already 99 degrees at 9AM (we were on a meeting) according to his weather station. Asked him where he had it located, as wUnderground had every other weather station in his town showing 85-86. Mounted to his house, in the sun, across the driveway from his neighbor's air conditioner. He moved it later that day, said it dropped 12 degrees moving it to the shade behind the house. Who'da guessed.

There are web sites out there that document "official" weather stations used by NWS or whomever that are also located in artificially hot locales. No surprise that "temperatures" have been hotter.

I researched two Tennessee weather stations several years ago when ATHiker and I were going back in forth over the fake Global Warming scam. I was shocked to see when one of the temperature sensors at any of weather stations went "unreliable", the weather station would use average temperatures from other weather stations for the time the sensor was offline. This is all public information.

Sorry folks, extrapolating data from other sources is not accurate enough to claim the earth has changed tenths of degrees over hundreds of year. Try again fools.

If what I was taught in middle school in the late 60s had come to fruition we'd all be dead now, under a polar ice cap. Then in the 70s it was acid rain that was gonna kill off all vegetation and we'd die from lack of oxygen. Then in the 80s ....... If I'm still around in 20 years I'm curious as Hell as to what can possibly be thought up that's gonna wipe us out. A space alien invasion would be on the plus side of believable.

Fixing the ozone hole is a matter of ensuring that no ozone-depleting gases reach the stratosphere.
In 1987, the United Nations established the Montreal Protocol to regulate the quantities of these gases in the atmosphere.
The Montreal Protocol was signed by 197 countries, and is the only UN treaty in history to achieve universal ratification.
