Ordering boots

It's been years since I ordered any boots online, I have always tried them on in stores, and I saw some winter rubber ones on sale and I'm thinking about ordering.

What size do I order? MY LaCrossee regular boots are 9 1/2 M and I wear a thin sock and thick sock in them.

The ones I'm looking at are inslated rubber winter boots. I would hate to order them then have to send them back because they didn't fit.

Which size should I order??

I tried some on in Bass Pro before I ordered any online. Rule of Thumb is to order one size up, but if I had done that with some Lacrosse boots, they would've been too big. But it was just right for the Mucks I ended up ordering. It's a bit more difficult if you're an in-between half size.

If your boots end up being a little big, you can always add a liner sock to make the fit just right. Or sometimes, you might need a little thicker main sock. One advantage to having thicker socks is more "cush" and more warmth (assuming you're wanting them for cold weather).

Tough to say. I can tell you from experience that it differs from boot to boot. I try to read as many online customer reviews as possible to see what people are saying about the fit of the boot and whether you should size up or size down or go with my normal size.

I always order a size bigger online.
But I always get Chippewa boots.

Before I ordered my first pair I contacted them and asked how their boots ran. They told me for hunting and stuff get one size bigger.
I only wear 1 pair of low cut ankle socks with mine for hunting.

I have gotten lucky with ordering the same 10 1/2 I normally wear with online boots. If it were hunting boots to be worn in cold weather you have a bit less risk as you can go up a half size and wear extra thick socks if they come in a little loose.

One of the wholesaler's I used to buy guns from would have sales on Rocky brand boots that were just too good to pass up and I bought several pairs over the years.
