For the first time last year, I took something other than my trusty ol Remington Model 710 in 30-06, my Winchester Model 70 in 300WSM. Killed a good 10 pt with it even. But tomorrow I'll be taking the 06 back to the woods again, like an old friend, gonna be good to spend a little time with it, and hopefully can kill another good one with it. Handloads using AA 4350 over Nosler 150 gr Accubonds.
And the 06 barked once again. 10 pt down!

Love it. It's a tack driver. Recoil isn't as bad as you would think for the caliber of gun it is.
I agree with you. It's one of my favorites for long shot opportunities.

What year is your 700? Mine is a 700 classic from 1987, maybe 86, whichever year they made the .264.

I have a couple other 26 caliber guns but the WinMag is my favorite.
