I had a awesome opening morning. On Friday I saw 4 birds strutting in a field and I felt like they would do the same on Saturday so I got there early. At daybreak I heard 12 different birds gobbling and the 4 were right above me. They flew down in the field with about 15 hens. They stayed about 60 yards away for about an hour then finally got to within 40. They were in range for about 30 minutes but I could not get a clear shot at just one. I had to wait for one of them to finally step out away from the rest. I got my chance around 8:30 and let him have a dose of Hevi 13's.
