This guy came out with 2 or 3 other longbeards and some hens at probably 250 yards in a field we were set up on. They were messing around and whooped up on him and ran him off. He must have been hoping the hen he thought we were didn't have any company. He ran probably the first 150 yards toward us then stopped and started strutting. He took his time coming on in but finally got close enough. 22.16 pounds, 10 3/16" beard, 15/16" spurs.

good deal. what did you shoot him with, a howitzer?

He raised up while I was going to him and I made a follow up shot with my 835. I wasn't taking the chance of him running off. It did halfway decapitate him though.
