We got a "Silver Bullet" blender a few years ago, and we rarely use it. It imparts a "burnt vacuum cleaner hose" flavor to anything it uses. There are (2) Speeds....Tasmanian Devil & OFF.

"Juicing" is the act of extracting fluids from fruits & veggies, whose nutrients are mostly concentrated in the pulpy structure. Your better bet nutritionally would be to use a regular blender, or spring for a $500+ VitaMix.

Furthermore, "juicing" is a way of getting people to spend megabucks on a uni-tasker that will be rarely used 3 months after purchase.

Yeah, same thing we have......it's not very utilitarian for anything other than making one-cup batches of a pulverized mix of fruits/veggies.

A VitaMix is a super-expensive blender that will last you a lifetime, and will serve MANY uses. I would highly recommend that over anything else remotely similar.

Nutribullet is not actually a juicer. It's a blender in crack that pulverizes everything, including nuts, into the smoothie. This way you do get the nutrition that is stored in the pulp and rhind.

I got a nutri-bullet for Christmas. We use it almost daily. Aside from the juicing, it makes GREAT Hummus and Bean Dip. One really great purchase.

On the down side however, I hava a triglyceride problem. I had it under control and then I started drinking a fruit smoothie every morning. Now my triglycerides are back up to 400+. I have to cut back on the smoothies...

Thanks for responses! Just trying to get more veggies and fruits. Well honestly just trying to be healthier in general. Never have juiced and $99 is not bad if it's good!

We got one and Wife uses it like crazy. It'll turn rocks into sand. I always wonder if there are any glasses missing when I get offered a smoothie. :( Grind up some almonds and blueberries and fruit in general and some ice cream and then freeze it up.

I bought one then read the directions, it said not to use fruit that has been dipped in wax to preserve freshness, well I can't find any fruit that has not been dipped in wax, so I have never used mine :(
