Ive never been.Just got invited to fish Saturday in a Tourney,my friends normal partner cant go.Any one know whats happening, what might be some good lure choices, are they shallow, deep?

Thanks for any help.

Clear, cold, and deep. If you have never fished it, you are on for a pretty steep learning curve. The water is rising rapidly and smallmouth are moving up for spawning. This time of year I would focus on rocky banks for smallmouth and around wood structure for largemouth. Crawfish colored crank baits are always good for me when fishing for small mouths. Crank baits and spinner baits for largemouth around wood structure. Be sure you go with the lightest line you can, the water has been very clear except where algae is blooming.

I'm your huckleberry for clear, deep lakes. :) Ha, ha, ha, Just kidding and couldn't resist. :)

On a serious note, it does sound a lot like Center Hill. I have never been and would help if I could. Good luck! One thing if the water is in the bushes and the water temp is right, then the fish may bite a floating worm like they would at CH and DH. There were beds last week here. If the cold snap didn't hurt them too much, then there will be more here this weekend.
