I saw 4 bucks, 6 does, and 3 fawns. The biggest buck was a 115" 8 pointer. That was the 4th time sitting this area. I've noticed that almost every deer I see is generated out of the same area so when I came down I went looking. Tracks galore, trails galore, scrapes and rubs everywhere. There's a ridge that drops from the native grass field I'm hunting down to a field about 160 or 170 yards below. This ridge side is thick and covered up with old and new sign. It looks like most of the traveling is along this ridge side although they do come out up top through the grass. The only trees available for climbing are huge pines or very small pines and you have to get up to be able to see down into the mess. My climber wouldn't fit so I went back to the truck and got a hang on. It's ready and waiting for my return. Sure looks promising.
