Hey folks,

I'm new to Tennessee, and new to the forums here. I'm also about to be newly back into the world of archery, which is something I've wanted to do for a while. Well, my wife is buying me a 45# Tred Barta longbow, left-hand, which will be my first bow in about 18 years or so, since my old recurve I had growing up (Bear or Pearson? Can't recall).

I used to shoot fairly well, and I can't wait to try things out to see how long it'll take me to get skills back. If they *immediately* come back, I might try the end of the season at my brother-in-law's place up in KY (season open to Jan. 21). However, I think it's far more likely that things will just wait until next year. I'm not going into the woods without being sure I can make accurate shots, and I don't reckon trad archery is quite like "riding a bicycle" ...

Anyway, I live just off of Highway 76, near I24 exit 11, and I understand there's a good club in Adams, which is just a few minutes from my house. I'd love to make y'all's acquaintance if anyone from that group is on the forums here!

All the best,
Liam

Liam,

There are several Trad folks in your area, and I know they are always ready to meet another "brother of the bow". You are in a great state for traditional archery! Welcome.
