I had been wanting a good back-up lightweight rifle to use for deer hunting. So I bought a browning abolt micro-hunter in a .308.This gun has a timney trigger, and leupold bases and rings. It will shoot less than a 1/2 inch 3 shot group at 100 yards with factory federal premiun sierra 150 grain bullets, I am not going to even try any other loads since the gun performs this well with factory rounds. I am trying to decide which scope I want to put on this gun. I am thinking a zeiss conquest 3x9x40 or a leupold vx-111 2.5x8x36. I am looking for suggestions. Thanks

zeiss conquest 3x9x40 ..I got one and love it!! you can't go wrong with a ziess!!!

I have the same rifle but it's left handed. I have the 2.5-8 Zeiss Conquest on it with Talley Mounts. It shoots MOA at 200 yds.

I've been looking for a good deal on a vx III 2.5x8x36 to put on top of the Rem 700 ti in 7-08 I picked up a month or so ago...

So you know where I stand!

No contest. I'd go with the Zeiss but a 3.5x10x44 if you don't need any additional magnification. Made the switch from Leupy a few years ago and never looked back.
