New ride

I picked up my new ride yesterday and it is sweet. The pics doesn’t do the chair justice. The Titanium frame is a medium shade of gray and the spokes, casters, and axle are an anodized burnt orange. The back rest is a big improvement over my previous chair. The power assist device, SmartDrive, will propel the chair over smooth and semi-smooth surface at a top speed of 5.5mph. It is a portable unit that attaches and detached very easily. I will never be able to say thank you enough to all who contributed to the new wheelchair fund that enabled me to do the upgrades; nearly $2100 worth. The chair alone with an inflatable Roho cushion came in at over $6100. The Smart Drive device was another $6000. So a little over $12000 for me to ride around with minimal effort and look cool.
