my father in law passed away last October. in his younger days he loved searching the plowed fields and riverbanks for artifacts. he had some on display that were nice pieces, but as we are cleaning out his house we have found several 5 gallon buckets full of pieces and broken points. the majority are in ziplocks with the dates and where he found them. are these worth anything? I would hate to just throw out his hard work but they just appear to be pieces of rock to me. any suggestions? I live in Kingston. thanks

Some of the pieces can be worth something but not all of them, don't throw them out give them to someone who will appreciate them. I love my broke ones just about as much as my whole ones

Agreed.

People put even broken ones on ebay and get good $ for them. You need to let someone that knows rock look at what you have. A $5 rock and a $5000 rock can look very similar.
