I moved it to my house today
It has hung at my parents house since August of 1956
I am going to have a big smile on my face and a tear in my eye
when I hang it at my house

Wow, that brings back memories. My mom had one exactly like that one. Her favorite color was red and about half her kitchen was red. I think my dad gave it to my sister after mom passed away. Enjoy it and the memories.

My parents clock looked like a giant sliver pocket watch. My brother has it.

Cool. Does it still keep time?

So far she is keeping perfect time, has not run in a long time, I thought she was retired

Took her to my house and has kept perfect time since this morning

Just as I would have guessed. In 1956, the "Made in USA" marking at the bottom of the dial really meant something.

Ray I never met your Mom but I’m sure she was a great woman. Your Dad, Brother Powell was a great man in mine and my Dad’s eyes. As a kid he allowed me some of my best memories growing up hunting in the Hatchie bottoms. Me, my Dad, and Bill Sartain killed more squirrels then anyone could imagine along with learning how to deer hunt. For him I’ll be forever grateful. It wasn’t just me but he touched a lot of people over the course of his time. I know your proud. I went through having to clean my parents house out last summer. It was hard. My prayers are with you.
