I inquired about a rifle and it was like 14 months.

I really couldnt comment on the length of time from ER Shaw but I do have a 325 wsm that was built by them and it is great. I would say that it is worth the wait even if it does take a while.

I am still thinking about a barrel for my savage,I just get frustrated thinking about the wait.

a friend of mine has a Ruger 77 chambered in 458 American,,kinda like a 458 WM short,

Can't blame you there. I was blessed with a bad stomach and no patience so I know the feeling. I would love to do a 7mm08 or a 308 build and would have no hesitations in using ER though.
