I got my scope from Doug in today and took my rifle to Coal Creek Armory and bought an Armalite one piece picatinny rail system to mount my new scope. For some reason, I think this scope is brighter than the 3-9x40 Conquests that I have. I can't wait to get it sighted in.

I just bought that same rifle, but havent shot it yet. How do you like the performance of yours?

Im also wondering with that scope rig how repeatable it is taking it on and off.

I've shot 1 full clip out of it so far. At 50 yds I put about 12 shots in about 2". At 100 yds I put 8 shots in about 3". All of the shots were with the factory peep sight. This weekend I'm going to see if I have time to go to the range and sight it in.

I've wanted an ar10 in 308 for probably 7-8 years but never got one. What is the recoil like? I understand that the recoil is very mild compared to a 308 bolt gun.

It feels like a .243 to me. Hardly any recoil. DPMS are very accurate. My next one will be in 223. I'll get the DPMS stainless 24 inch 223. Much cheaper to shoot.
