My Brother Killed a Buck in Iowa!

He called tore up because he'd just put an arrow in a heavy horned 8 point that he had on camera on a small piece of public land at 1:45
It was his first Iowa buck and biggest bow kill ever. Shot him at 20 yards heading to a scrape that my brother had just peed in moments earlier. Quartering away and double lung shot.
He ran 20 yards and piled up dead. His old Matthews Q2 and Schwacker broad heads done the trick.
He's lived there because of work 2 years this coming January his second deer season and first chance at a nice buck.

Man I have go to get out to Iowa and Kansas.

Nice buck, what part of Iowa is he hunting in? Lot of good public ground in Iowa, some are small maybe 10 to 15 acres and they don't get hunted during bow season very much. Shotgun season is a whole different encounter.
