Here he is, he is my best deer ever, and I was fortunate enough to take him with my bow! What a great way to start to season!

I was sitting up in the stand trying to resist swatting at the swarming mosquitos in my face watching the squirrels and a raccoon climb an oak tree! Looked down the road and saw movement in the grass. An 8 pointer that I had on camera was coming into the food plot. I only thought about shooting him for a split second because that is when the 11 pointer stepped out. Sweet, I'll take him instead! Then a little 6 point stepped out and came up to feed with the 11. The 11 charged him and ran him off back in the woods. Meanwhile, the 8 had fed right under my tree, broadside at 20 yards. Should I shoot or not? After seeing the 11, I decided to take my chances hoping he would come back to the food plot. Sure enough, he did and I made a 26 yard shot on him. Here is a pic of the 8 that was with him!

He's going on the wall! Man, I hate letting go of a something you are going to get mounted for several months. If it wasn't so hot, I would have kept him with me for a few more days!!!
