Muzzle brake

Does anyone shoot a muzzle brake and if so which one? I am thinking about adding one to a Remington 700. What are the pros outside of less recoil and cons outside of very loud?

Make sure if you shoot at a range they allow them, some won't.

An advantage is the before and after range results. Many shooters have a flinch that is a part of their zero. Reduce or eliminate the flinch and your true Point Of Impact will be observed.

My BIL had a 7-inch flinch with a 270 from Inter Arms that kicked harder than my 300 WinMag.

If you go out west the length can be a problem with a scabbard on a horse

Ditto on the noise. I have a 300 win mag - people left the range when I shot. I ended up removing it and having the barrel crowned. Made a nice 25" barrel
