34 hours on my 2014 KTM 300 XCW. I stopped riding it when I lost my son (riding buddy) last year. I need to sell it.

Penton is the original KTM. He convinced KTM to build his motorcycles to his specs and then eventually sold his business to KTM. I knew a man that was one of the team physicians back in the day.
You are correct.

I think the first bikes came over from Austria in the 1966 time frame and was eventually sold back in 1977?

During that time area they were a definite force in the ISDT trails events.

I was fortunate enough to have owned and ridden a few of these over years.

I always loved the styling.

Man, that's back to the basics--a real "bugs-in-the-teeth" ride, right there.
That it is. The springer seat is actually more comfortable than you expect with the hard tail. It’s a Frankenstein I put together, actually an early 80’s Honda single on a cloned triumph frame. I just tool around town and sold my cruiser. This one is fun for what it is.

I like it, and admire the skill it took to put it together.
