Well I believe I will be looking a little harder this weekend while walking through the hardwood bottoms on the way to the river. I've never had morels but I would like to try some.

Found 18 Sunday and 25 today. Hopefully after this rain they will really start popping. Sorry for not having any pics, still trying to learn this high tech stuff.

I have never found the mother load, but if by chance I do find more than I can eat in one sitting how do I keep them? how long will they keep?

I use a needle to string them up and hang the string for them to dry, takes a few days, then I put in ziplock bags and into glass jars with lids to keep em. Then to cook with them, drop in boiling water for a minute or two to rehydrate them.
