I fought it, but finally bit.

I'm glad that I did because I'm rolling. You didn't even read the article did you?

Oops ;) :D !
Yes,,did you??? Interestingly enough, Dabo Swinney's contract with Clemson football expires after the 2028-29 season. So it could be a perfect transition for the Crimson Tide if Nick Saban finally calls it a career by then.

Wow, this is GOLD!!!!

It was previously believed by some that Swinney would take over Alabama football once Saban retired. But now, some believe Clemson's head coach could end up retiring before Saban does.

Swinney is 51 years old. He's already garnered massive success with the Tigers. If Saban is going to be at Alabama for another decade, the chances of Swinney taking over in Tuscaloosa are slim, at best.

Saban will not finish out his current contract.
What's that got to do with dabo? Am I missing something and saban is telling dabo how to maneuver his career? Just because saban won't finish out his contract doesn't mean dabo would go to bama.

At their age things can change any day
People are hinging that Dabo is going to retire before Saban???? Dabo will be in his 60's. Saban is still coaching and WINNING at the top level in his 70's. Why would Dabo consider retiring in his 60's? Its laughable.

It's more impressive what he has done at Clemson then saban at bama. What would dabo gain? Nothing at all. He has proven he is one of the best with a non SEC program and beat the best. Dabo going to bama is laughable. If he was going to go then he would have went by now.

What your saying is totally laughable. ALABAMA has the #1 coach in the country. Do you really think ALABAMA now, Today? Want's Dabo over Saban? The answer is clearly and in fact a NO on that one. What the future holds no one knows. I think its hilarious all the haters that have gotten their knickers up in a wad about a thread that was titled "Chatter" about Dabo coming to ALABAMA. Its just that "Chatter".

Roll Tide.

What makes you think he would go, Clemson is plenty big enough place to stay, scenery is 100 times better at that

Ok lets post the whole article and go paragraph by paragraph. I would draw it in stick figures and crayons for yall but that's not a option with the format of the forum.

For the longest time it's been speculated that Dabo Swinney would be Nick Saban's eventual successor at Alabama. Monday's breaking news indicates otherwise.

Saban signed a contract extension with the Crimson Tide on Monday. The extension keeps Saban in Alabama though the 2028-29 season. So what does that mean for Swinney's future?

It was previously believed by some that Swinney would take over Alabama football once Saban retired. But now, some believe Clemson's head coach could end up retiring before Saban does.

Swinney is 51 years old. He's already garnered massive success with the Tigers. If Saban is going to be at Alabama for another decade, the chances of Swinney taking over in Tuscaloosa are slim, at best.

Interestingly enough, Dabo Swinney's contract with Clemson football expires after the 2028-29 season. So it could be a perfect transition for the Crimson Tide if Nick Saban finally calls it a career by then.

AdChoices
Saban will be 78 years old when his new extension runs out. It wouldn't be shocking if he kept going. After all, Joe Paterno coached until he was 84.

By 2029, Swinney, meanwhile, will be approaching 60 when his contract with Clemson runs out. If he's still at the top of his game by then, Alabama may come calling.

Saban and Swinney have developed a bit of a rivalry over the years. The Clemson head coach has been one of the few to give Saban's teams an issue come championship time. Alabama has gotten the most recent laugh, though, winning yet another title this past season.

We expect many more Clemson-Alabama battles in years to come, especially if Swinney and Saban stick it out at their respective programs through the 2028-29 season.

The post College Football World Speculating About Dabo Swinney's Future appeared first on The Spun.
If you read ONLY the first 4 paragraphs and don't read any further(which I suspect many of you did) then you are in the camp Dabo is not coming to ALABAMA.

But when you read the 5th 6th and 7th paragraphs that is where the focus of the article shifts. It reads and I quote.

"Interestingly enough, Dabo Swinney's contract with Clemson football expires after the 2028-29 season. So it could be a perfect transition for the Crimson Tide if Nick Saban finally calls it a career by then.

AdChoices

So there is in fact 'CHATTER" that Dabo may be coming to ALABAMA one day. The Contracts of Saban and Dabo line up to the point where in theory Dabo could be in line to take over for Saban should Saban run the full length of his contract and should he not elect to sign on for a longer term like Paterno.

Credibility fully in the positive.! Roll Tide !!!!!
