Mikey is in and Petty Enterprises is looking good

Mikey ran a hard lap. So hard that he almost brushed the wall exiting turn 4. It paid off and he is starting 28th.

Looks like the Petty camp is continuing it's progression back to the upper ranks of the NASCAR world. Andretti starts 10th in the #45 and Bobby Labonte rolls off 12th. When one of the Petty cars goes back to the winner's circle, it will be a special day.
 
I don't think Petty Enterprizes will ever be a top team capable of winning a champoinship again . I hope I am wrong , but I'm a realist .
I do like John Andretti , but Kyle needs to step down and they need some young blood . If they could land Kyle Busch , they would be more competitive .
 
I doubt they will land Kyle. They might but I think a more competitive team will make him an offer. I thought Bobby Labonte might actually win a race when he first started driving for them. However, he's faded out.
