This type of stuff happens more than you think in the world of competive sports.
I have seen it and been on teams that had that type of coaches, bully usually start with these type of authority types. When you are young and love playing sports, you sometimes endure more than you should.

I love how ESPN milks the gay thing. I stopped the video after hearing that.

I agree, he needed to be fired but the AD does as well for allowing this to go on as long as it did.....
And just a brief comment about homophobia.
Any phobia is simply a fear of something such as heights, spiders, etc.
The fear is based in the thought that whatever you have the phobia about will harm you or affect your life in a negative way.
In most every case of phobias, they have no firm base and will have little if any effect on your lifestyle or hurt you in anyway.
We have all heard someone say about a snake or spider that it may not harm them but will make them harm themselves.
Most people fear what they do not understand and the essence of the unknown causes them to lash out.
Also, people have a need to control the world around them. When they can not, they again lash out.
They hate their phobia (spiders, for example)and see no reason for their existance, even though they play a major role in nature.
Phobias of any kind are not healthy.
