Just a question I thought I'd throw up there. Does anybody think that the big kill off last year was indeed CWD and not EHD. Just because none of the deer twra was checking tested positive. Why couldn't some of the big kill off here in east Tn or elsewhere have indeed been CWD. You have to remember it's a tiny percentage tested vs killed. Since there is almost no check stations anymore and any stations that do exist. They are rarely manned by a officer. Not trying to start stuff just asking.

The fact that most of them was found in or near water I think supports EHD. With that being said, I'm not much up on CWD and for all I know, they may go to water with that disease as well

Rapid die off of many animals at once in the summer is EHD. Slow attritional loss of animals throughout the year can be a red flag for CWD
