Are magnum primers needed when loading for a .270 wsm? I have heard both and have used both. I do not have a chrony so I am not sure if I am losing anything by not using them. I am about to try some Nosler 130 bt's over Reloader 19 and wanted your opinion on what primers to start with. Thanks

I found std Fed 210`s gave me the tightest groups in 1 A-Bolt Browning 270 WSM, but in another, Winchester WLRM`s did great.
If you have the time and a few extra bucks try both, if not, I`d use 210`s for a first try.

I use CCI 250s under 67 gr of RL19 with a 130 Interbond out of my 270 WSM. Very accurate and kills stuff where it stands.

I don't think you would need magnums. Shouldn't cause any problems if you do though. I've loaded 210m in my 300 mag and never had any trouble with it igniting correctly, but why risk it?
