I saw plenty and passed plenty . When I finally got my head in if it’s brown it’s down mode I didn’t get a deer in bow range .

Re: Looks like I am done

This has been one of the worst years I can remember for deer sightings for me. I haven't laid eyes on a deer in the woods in over 3 weeks! Of course I hunt public land and have always had pretty good luck but this year for some reason my usual spots, were I normally only see a couple local guys all season, were completely over run with guys from East Tn from muzzleloader till the first of December. I have no idea why there was such a huge increase in traffic on the 2 WMA's and 1 public hunting area that I normally hunt but I would say at least 4-5 times the usual number of hunters with most shooting everything with hair! I really wish they would stop the 3 does a day at least on the public land. It really doesn't help the deer herd on the public hunting areas and it would give the local hunters a break from the out of towners who roll in, act like they own the whole area, drive wherever they want, trash the place up, shoot everything they see and then leave their mess behind.
