Sold/Expired Looking for 4x4 Truck for Son

I’m still looking for a 4x4 truck for my son as he turns 16 later this year. F150, Silverado, or Tundra is the preference and club or crew cab. Will consider a single cab but no Dodges. Looking for something that will be dependable and last him for a few years. Budget is around $10k.

Yeah, would prefer a different body style but will keep it in mind. We have a few months so not in a super hurry.

We may have one for sale in the next week. Someone is supposed to pick it up this weekend but you know how that goes. It's a 2009 with 205k miles. Mechanically sound, body is 9 out 10, a little rust in cab corners but not bad, interior is 8 out of 10. Needs a little electrical work the wiring harness in drivers door has some shorts and it doesn't recognize that all doors are shut so the AMP steps won't retract so we just unhooked them. This won't be a hard fix we just haven't' had the time yet. $13,500.

I know you said you didn't want a Dodge but I have a96 model I have owned since new. I put a new motor in it about 30 K ago. It has 104 1k miles total . Everything works as it should, New transmission Mid December from Coleman Taylor Memphis. New BFG koat2 tires last spring, ran Mud tires for deer/duck season. New Shocks last year, new suspension parts past 2 years. I only run Mobil One oil. New Brakes all around slotted rotors and special pads. 5.3 v8 294,000 miles. I have a Auto and Tire Store in Memphis so anything its ever needed i took care of… Absolutely no problems with it, i just bought a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 with all the Bells and Whistle and only 30,000 miles. Close to retirement so time to upgrade. I can send video of it running and driving. I have it on Facebook Market place for $13,000. Hey Larry. I had to go to Lowe’s last week. I noticed a 2000-ish GMC 4x4, extended cab sitting at the old Cookeville Mall for sale. I didn’t stop to look at it or anything…when I have to go to Cookeville, I want to get out ASAP. But it looked like a solid old truck. Had a pressure washing business graphic on it, so it should be clean at least

Went to Harbor Freight this morning and saw an OBS white 4x4 Chevy at the Sword museum out front. It was a single cab and looked kinda rough. Didn’t stop to look at the paper in the window there either. Might be a couple options close to home though. Good luck! Good trucks at a reasonable price are hard to come by right now.

If you happen to go check that one out at the mall, look at that old square body Dodge dually there. Shoot me a PM if it has a price tag on the for sale sign. I know you’re not a Dodge man, but I LOVE those old Cummins trucks.
