Loading jag for FPB????

I just bought some hornady FPB bullets and was sighting in my cva optima. Everytime i load the bullet the red flex-tip sticks in the end of my ramrod. Do i need to buy a special loading jag for these bullets?

Take a drill bit and drill out a little of your ramrod tip-

My ram rod tip on my Optima is threaded to take accessories, so I would not be drilling the tip.

the one that comes with precision rifles ml bullets worked for me

me too, but I didn't know if he had access to one

It would still be threaded for "accessories", just threaded a little less so. Easy solution and free.

I think im gonna go with your idea ewc. the past 11 years or so that i have been muzzleloading i have never used the threaded part for the accessories so im not really worried about having that. Thanks guys

Check out the Spinjag online. I've got one and think it does help in getting better alignment and it also protects the tips on spherical bullets.
