Leveling the playing field. I’m in the tree now squirrels!

Last time I hunted my mountain for deer, at one point I counted 12 different squirrels.
They never saw me up here.
I had my .308 so no dice on bagging one.
Now I'm 17 feet up in a tree with my .22.

Up a tree is definitely a good idea after the nuts have fallen but I'd want something that shoots quiet like 22 shorts or a pellet gun.

Got one after I got down.
They just weren't moving yesterday.
Weather affect them like fish?
Barometric pressure?

Yep and they will move as the nuts are gone , never seen a migration but have read of them.

This time of year they start to move in search of food. Around my house, they will be running around everywhere and in a few days they are gone. Won't start seeing them again until spring.
