This topic carries over to the issue of creeks that are property lines. Typically when floating a creek, a person is not violating any law. However, property lines are considered to be the center of a creek and if a person steps out of their floating apparatus and onto the creek bottom they are technically trespassing on whichever side of the creek they are on even though they are standing in water. Extrapolate that into then searching the creek bank for artifacts and it compounds the issue. That scenario happens daily all across the country and lots of people have no clue that they can get in trouble for doing it.
